Digital Divide Homework.

Activity 1.
1.Being able to access the internet could help a homeless man more than anyone would believe for a start it could allow them to look and apply for jobs easier so that they can start earning money and try to turn their life around.

They could get in touch with family or friends that could offer them a place to stay and if not they can look up where all the local shelters are so that there not on there own in the dark streets when its freezing cold and at least they have a place they can almost call a home

Easy to keep up with the world can see where the job vacancies open up or where any room is for them to stay :)

Five things which are more important that the Internet to a homeless person:

Money- to buy the essentials to live as not all shelters offer free accommadation and clothing etc.

Housing – Cleanliness and they will look after themself better if they had a roof above their head which could lead to better chances for job interviews etc.

Food- Without food it would not be possible for them to survive so it plays a major part of their life.

Health – Along with food its an essential and they could not survive without good health.

Family + Friends - Family and friends although they may not speak anymore them getting in contact is more important than the internet as they could make them feel better about themselves or even inspire them to try harder to change their life around.
